Attorney Devon Anderson is a native Texan. She was born in Houston and raised in Waco, where she graduated from Richfield High School. As a Plan II honors graduate at the University of Texas at Austin, she was well prepared to pursue her law degree from the University of Texas School Of Law.

Devon was licensed in 1991 and practiced criminal defense with the Austin law firm of Kuhn, Doyle and Kuhn until she was offered a position by Harris County District Attorney Johnny Holmes, Jr. She accepted the offer and twelve years and over one hundred jury trials later, she capped her career there by serving as Chief Prosecutor in the capital murder trial of the notorious Railcar Killer Rafael Resendiz Ramirez. The experience she gained prosecuting and defending is invaluable in its application to her present practice.

In 2005, Devon left the Harris County District Attorney's Office upon being elected Judge of the 177th Criminal District Court. As a felony District Court judge, Devon presided over thousands of criminal cases including aggravated assaults and robberies, burglaries, drug cases, murders and capital murders, theft cases, white collar cases and offenses involving intoxication.

In 2007, Devon became the presiding judge for STAR Drug Court No. 4. The program focuses on reaching those who find themselves in the criminal justice system because of dangerous addictions. It is an intense program in which volunteer judges personally supervise the recovery of offenders.

Devon's participation in the drug court program served as a perfect bridge to returning to criminal defense work.Partnering with former State District Judge Brock Thomas, also a STAR Drug Court judge, they formed the law firm of Anderson & Thomas, PLLC in January 2009.The firm's focus is on the representation of citizens accused of state and federal criminal offenses.

Attorney Devon Anderson along with her law partner Brock Thomas bring between them over thirty years of legal experience, including ten years on the criminal district bench. Their vast experience makes them uniquely qualified to represent clients charged with any level of offense at any phase from Grand Jury investigation to jury trial.
